Suddenly, but peacefully at Ayr Hospital on 8th July 2024. Ada Beloved wife of Jim Crichton and a devoted mother to Jane, Robert and James. Funeral Service will be held on Friday 19th July at Masonhill Crematorium at 10.30am to which all friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please.

DONAGHER (Ayr) – Obituary

Peacefully at home on the 24th May.John Donagher. Beloved Husband of Anne, much loved Father to Kevin and Paul and Papa to all his Grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held at St Quivox Church, Prestwick on Monday 1st July 2024 at 10am thereafter to Masonhill Crematorium, Ayr for 11.15am to which all friends and family are respectfully invited.

CROOK (Ayr) – Obituary

Ian Bayley Robertson Crook died aged 97 on 8th June 2024. Beloved husband of Mary (nee McIntyre) and father to Brian, Sheena, and Michael, grandfather to Jamie, Robbie, Fergus and Kate; and great-grandfather to Marla, Sorren and Archie. A private funeral will follow.

Peacefully at home on 13th June 2024, Tommy, adored partner of Janice, loving and much loved dad of Stephenie and Michael, father-in-law to Lena and friend to many. Funeral Service will take place on Friday 21st June 2024 at Masonhill Crematorium at 12noon to which all are respectfully invited.

GUTHRIE (Alloway) – Obituary

Peacefully at University Hospital Ayr on Wednesday 29th May 2024 after a short illness, Jim, Aged 88 years. Formerly of Low Milton Farm, Maybole and more recently Alloway. Beloved Husband of the late Elizabeth (Liz), much loved Dad of Jim, Muir, Fiona and Iain and adored Papa to Ava, Maxwell and Alexandra. Funeral Service on Monday 17th June 2024 at Alloway Parish Church at 2.30pm to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please.

FERRIER (Prestwick) – Obituary

Peacefully at Berelands House Care Home on Wednesday 15th May, Ian aged 81 years. Much loved Brother to Elaine George and the late Cecilia Simms and Uncle to Jonathan, Michael, Douglas, Jennifer and Suzanne. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday 29th May 2024 at Masonhill Crematorium, Ayr at 2.45pm to which all family and friends are respectfully invited.

SMITH (Troon) – Obituary

At Crosshouse Hospital on 2nd May 2024, Dr James Smith aged 91 years. A much loved husband and father. Family and friends are respectfully invited to the Funeral Service which will take place on Tuesday 4th June 2024 at Masonhill Crematorium at 12 noon, followed by refreshments at the South Beach Hotel, Troon

Hood (Alloway) – Obituary

Sandra died peacefully at Ayr Hospital on Sunday 12th May 2024. Sandra is survived by her beloved partner, Douglas. She was a loving and thoughtful sister and aunt and a dear friend to many. Sandra was former Divisional Commander at R Division, attained and retired from the rank of Assistant Chief Constable Strathclyde Police. She held a Master of Philosophy degree from the University of Strathclyde and was awarded the Order of the British Empire for her Public Service. The funeral, a celebration of Sandra’s life, will take place on Tuesday 4th June 2024 at Alloway Parish Church at 12.30pm, followed by a committal at Ayr Cemetery at 1.30pm to which all family, friends and colleagues are respectfully invited. Special thanks are extended to Dr Pauline Phin and the Cathcart Street Practice and Dr Anur Guhan and his team at Station 8 at Ayr Hospital for their care and kindness, Reverend Neil McNaught for his support and Armours Funeral Service

Munro (Alloway) – Obituary

The family of William (Bill) Munro announces his passing peacefully at the Biggart Hospital on the 11th May 2024 aged 80 years. Originally from Dunure and thereafter residing in Alloway with his late wife Avril, he leaves behind his sister Sandra, her husband Alex, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Additionally, brother-in-law Gordon, his wife Hazel, nieces, and great-nephews. Without naming individuals, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all his friends for their kindness and support through some very difficult times, with a special mention to his friends from his various clubs and groups, including Ayr Rugby Club, Tam O Shanter Golf Club, Golf Holidays, Walking Club, Shopping Club, Gazebo Club (during COVID), Chestnuts Hotel, and friends and former colleagues from his thirty-plus years in the water industry. Furthermore, we extend our thanks to all staff and volunteers at Ayrshire Cancer Support, MacMillan Cancer Support, The Beatson, Crosshouse, Ayr, and MacMillan Ward Biggart hospitals. A private funeral has been arranged at Bill’s request.

MCCALLUM (Alloway) – Obituary

Muriel Darragh MCCALLUM  (nee Heap) Passed suddenly, but peacefully, at University Hospital Ayr with her family by her side on Friday 26th April 2024. Beloved wife of the late Andrew. Dearly loved mother to John, Colin & Chris. Loving Sister, Sister-in-law, Mother-in-law, proud Nana and great Nana.
