Munro (Alloway) – Obituary
The family of William (Bill) Munro announces his passing peacefully at the Biggart Hospital on the 11th May 2024 aged 80 years. Originally from Dunure and thereafter residing in Alloway with his late wife Avril, he leaves behind his sister Sandra, her husband Alex, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Additionally, brother-in-law Gordon, his wife Hazel, nieces, and great-nephews. Without naming individuals, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all his friends for their kindness and support through some very difficult times, with a special mention to his friends from his various clubs and groups, including Ayr Rugby Club, Tam O Shanter Golf Club, Golf Holidays, Walking Club, Shopping Club, Gazebo Club (during COVID), Chestnuts Hotel, and friends and former colleagues from his thirty-plus years in the water industry. Furthermore, we extend our thanks to all staff and volunteers at Ayrshire Cancer Support, MacMillan Cancer Support, The Beatson, Crosshouse, Ayr, and MacMillan Ward Biggart hospitals. A private funeral has been arranged at Bill’s request.
MCCALLUM (Alloway) – Obituary
Muriel Darragh MCCALLUM (nee Heap) Passed suddenly, but peacefully, at University Hospital Ayr with her family by her side on Friday 26th April 2024. Beloved wife of the late Andrew. Dearly loved mother to John, Colin & Chris. Loving Sister, Sister-in-law, Mother-in-law, proud Nana and great Nana. The funeral service will take place at Masonhill Crematorium, Ayr, KA6 6EN on Tuesday 28th May 2024 at 12 noon to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only.

GILLINGHAM (Alloway) – Obituary
Peacefully on 21st April 2024, at Crosshouse Hospital with his family by his side, Ian passed away aged 77 years. Darling husband of Elaine, much loved dad of Susan and Pauline, dear father-in-law of Donald and Chris. Cherished by his grandchildren Rory, Jack, Hannah, Eva and Aidan. Family, friends and colleagues are respectfully invited to the Funeral Service at Masonhill Crematorium, Ayr on Thursday, 9th May at 2.45pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Ian to Leukaemia UK after the service.
PARR (Ayr) – Obituary
Jack, aged 69 years, passed away peacefully on 22 April 2024 at Templeton House Care Home, Ayr after a long illness. Son of the late Leslie and Elizabeth Parr, much loved Brother of Lesley and the late Shirley, Brother-in-law of Les, and Uncle of Chris, Colin and Calum. Funeral Service at Masonhill Crematorium at 2.45pm on 10 May 2024. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Alloway Parish Church.

LONGAIR (Ayr) – Obituary
Bernard Longair, who passed away peacefully in Heathfield Nursing Home after a long battle with dementia. The family is very grateful to all staff who looked after him during his illness. He’s finally back with the love of his life Sarah (aka Ray Chambers) Longair. The funeral service will be held at Masonhill Crematorium at 2.45pm on Thursday 18th April.
