It is with deep sadness the family announce the passing of their dearly loved Mother, Dorothy Emily at Ainslie Manor, Girvan on Tuesday 9th February. Loving wife of the late Alexander McLay (Daily Bake) and dear mother of Laurine, Margaret, Alistair, Lynn and the late Michael. Mother-in-law of Meic, the late Jim, Nan, Linda and Jim and very special Granny to 9 and Great Granny to 16. A private funeral at St James Church will take place on 24th February and afterwards at Monkton Cemetery, in line with Scottish Government Restrictions. The family would like to thank all the staff at Ainslie Manor for their kindness and care of Dorothy over the past 18 months. Dorothy will be missed greatly but will once again be reunited with her beloved Alec. A proud Orcadian who never forgot her home.
