GALLOWAY (Ayr) – Acknowledgement

(Black) Rachael’s family would like to express their thanks to everyone who attended her funeral service at Ayr Crematorium. Our thanks also to everyone who expressed their sympathy and for the cards and flowers. Special thanks to Oliver Armour at Armours Funeral Service, Victoria Burnham, all staff at Station 1 Ayr Hospital. SAC carers and all staff at Fullerton Medical Practice. To friends and neighbours for their support at this time. Thanks to everyone’s generosity we raised £435 for Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland. CURRIE (Prestwick) – Obituary

Peacefully at home in Prestwick, on the 4th August 2023, Andrew Currie aged 82 years. A Funeral Service will be held at Troon Cemetery at 1.30pm on Thursday 24th August 2023, followed by a Service of Remembrance at Portland Church, Troon at 2pm to which all family and friends respectfully invited.

STRUTHERS (Dalrymple) – Obituary

Peacefully at Burnfoot House Care Home on Sunday 13th August 2023, Margaret aged 81 years, sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Family and friends are respectfully invited to her funeral service at Dalrymple Cemetery on Tuesday 22nd August 2023 at 10.30am.

MURPHY (Dalrymple) – Obituary

Peacefully at home with his family, on Sunday 6th August 2023, John Murphy aged 70 years. Loving Husband to Elizabeth, Dad to Quintin and Shelley, proud Papa to Lloyd, Chad and Kobi and a Great Papa to Avery, Grier and Luca. Funeral Service will be held on Friday 18th August at Masonhill Crematorium at 1.15pm to which all are respectfully invited.

MCLEAN (Alloway) – Obituary

Peacefully at the Biggart Hospital on 25th July 2023, Jim McLean aged 87 years. Much loved husband of Kathleen, a loving dad of Fiona, Jennifer, Alison and Aileen and a much loved Grampa of the family. Family and friends are respectfully invited to the Funeral Service which will take place on Monday 14th August at Masonhill Crematorium at 12noon.

MOFFAT (Ayr) – Obituary

(Jimmy) Jim died peacefully at the Biggart Hospital on 5th July. Brother of Nan and Jessie, Brother-in-law of Jim and Lewis, Uncle to Helen, Graham, Maureen, Jamie, Andrew, Derek, Neil and Sandra. Great Uncle Jim to all of the many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral Service will take place at Masonhill Crematorium on Monday 24th July at 2.45pm.

BAKER (Ayr) -Acknowledgement

William Baker (Bill) Margaret, Karen & Lesley wish to express their deep appreciation & sincere thanks to all family, friends and neighbours for their kind expressions of sympathy, many cards and flowers received following the sad loss of Bill. Sincere thanks to Rev David Gemmell for his uplifting service. Special thanks to Brian Armour and staff of Armours Funeral Service for their care and compassion shown throughout and also to the staff of the Savoy Park Hotel for the lovely buffet & service. Heartfelt thanks to the many who were able to attend the service at Masonhill Crematorium where a Retiral Collection raised £400 for The Ayrshire Hospice and Glaucoma UK in Bill’s memory.

Convery (Troon) – Obituary

Passed away on 4th July 2023, at the age of 76. He was a quiet man, who was well respected and well known within the local community, through his decades styling hair at Andreas, Templehill, as a local councillor for South Ayrshire, as well as his involvement with Troon Community Council. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Shelagh, daughter Claire, son Ross, his sister Ann and family and friends. Family and friends are respectfully invited to the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption and St Meddan, Troon on Tuesday 18th July 2023 at 10am, thereafter to Troon Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers to Dementia Scotland.

BAKER (Ayr) – Obituary

William Baker (Bill) Passed away peacefully in Crosshouse Hospital on Tuesday 20th June 2023 after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Margaret McLellan. Dearest, loving father of Karen and Lesley and sons-in-law Peter and Roger. Proud and loving grandfather of Emily, Gregor, Laura, Melanie & Blair and doting great-grandfather to Lewis, William and Christie. He will be sorely missed by all his family and friends who knew and loved him so dearly. Funeral service will take place at Masonhill Crematorium on Saturday 1st July at 11:15am to which all are respectfully invited. Family have asked if you could please wear something light and bright to the service and family flowers only please.
